Weather Forces ASCS Sooner Region Postponement at Mid-America

TULSA, Okla. (May 19, 2011) – Excessive rain early in the week along with more expected rainfall over the coming days has forced the postponement of Saturday night’s scheduled American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region event at Mid-America Speedway in South Coffeyville, OK.

A possible makeup date is being explored.

The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region returns to action over Memorial Day weekend with two full nights of competition at “The Great American Dirt Track” Jetmore Motorplex in Jetmore, KS, next Saturday and Sunday, May 28-29.  Both nights of the Steve King Memorial atop the Jetmore dirt oval will offer up a $3,000 winner’s share.

The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region is slated for 14 nights of racing action at seven different tracks throughout Oklahoma and neighboring areas of Kansas, Texas and Missouri in 2011.
