All Star Circuit of Champions head east for important races in championship battle

CAMARGO, IL (6-1-11) By Brian Liskai - The stars and cars of the O'Reilly
Auto Parts All Star Circuit of Champion Sprint Car Series will be heading
east over the next few weeks in what could be a pivotal series of races in
the championship battle.

Three-time All Star champion Dale Blaney continues to lead the All Star's
Eastern Region, Ohio Region and National points, but over the next two
weeks he will be challenged by the stars of the Pennsylvania Posse along
with two-time and defending All Star champion Tim Shaffer. As there are
five races that are part of the All Star's Eastern Region points.

At the end of the years the Eastern Region champion will earn $20,000.

The two-week stretch begins Sunday, June 5 with a stop at the Clinton
County Raceway
in Mackeyville, Pa. It will be the first ever appearance of
the All Stars at the one-third mile clay oval. The feature will pay $5,000
to win and if a Clinton County regular can pull off the victory there’s a
$3,000 bonus. The 270 Micro Sprints will also be in competition. Alan Cole
opened Clinton County’s season with a victory over George Suprick and Kyle
Drum.

From there the All Stars head to Fonda Speedway in Fonda, N.Y. for a
Wednesday, June 8 event. Last year at Fonda, Daryn Pittman used lapped
traffic to catch and pass Tyler Walker to take the win. New York native
Jessica Zemken piloted the Tony Stewart owned machine to a third place
finish.

Then it's to the heart of Pennsylvania Posse land for a big weekend of
racing. It kicks off Friday, June 10 at the historic Williams Grove
Speedway
in Mechanicsburg, Pa., followed by a Saturday contest at Lincoln
Speedway
in Abbottstown, Pa. and a Sunday race at Utica Rome Speedway in
Vernon, N.Y.

The All Stars just visited Williams Grove in April with Steve Buckwalter
taking the win and keeping the All Stars winless at the half-mile track.
Rick Lafferty and Alan Krimes would make it a Posse podium sweep. In 2011,
feature winners at Williams Grove include Ryan Bohlke, Pittman, Freddie
Rahmer, Brian Leppo, and Stevie Smith.

Last June at Lincoln, Brian Montieth held off a charging Brian Leppo for
the All Star win. In May last year Freddie Rahmer took the All Star
victory. So far in 2011 feature winners have been Montieth with three wins,
Leppo and Brent Marks, each with two wins, Krimes, Cory Haas, Danny
Dietrich, Doug Esh, and Mike Bittinger.

Last July at Utica Rome Speedway, Rahmer Shaffer and two-time All Star
champ Greg Wilson put on a tremendous battle before Rahmer took the win.

The All Stars then get a few days off before embarking on the 29th Annual
Ohio Sprint Speedweek which features eight nights of racing over nine days
across the Buckeye State. NASCAR star Kasey Kahne has indicated he will
compete in some of the Speedweek events.
